Success is no accident

Since September 2008, our Air Division has worked 3.75 million man hours without a reportable accident. The Division was recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme for its excellent safety record.

Commenting on the award, Ray Mellee, London Gatwick’s Project Director, said: “As a major independent airport, we’re investing nearly £1 billion to modernise Gatwick and provide a better experience for our passengers. We will do this with our business partners, safely and responsibly. To deliver major construction projects without impacting the day-to-day operations of the busiest single-runway airport in the world is a major achievement.”
