Girls in Construction

Naomi Jones, 17, is in her second year of a construction technician trainee apprenticeship with the Cardiff regional office of VINCI Construction UK (Stradform). Naomi, who was keen to embark on a career using her talent for design, was introduced to the construction industry through Careers Wales who encouraged her to attend a Girls in Construction event organised by ConstructionSkills. Commenting on her choice of career path, Naomi said: “I’m able to use my design skills in a practical way and I’m on the step to a really good career. I’m now an ambassador for ConstructionSkills, encouraging other girls to think about possible careers in construction.”
