Merton Priory Homes & VINCI Facilities Celebrates

Saturday 4th September 2010 saw the official public award celebration of the three new contractors engaged to deliver decent homes and improvement works to the residents of the newly created Merton Priory Homes, part of leading affordable housing provider Circle Anglia.

VINCI Facilities Building Solutions (South) staff gave up their Saturday to join the celebrations and introduce themselves to the residents. The initial 5 year partnering contract worth approx £30m will see works being undertaken in the areas of Raynes Park and Wimbledon which is in the North West region of the London Borough of Merton.

Merton Priory Homes’ managing director Pauline Ford was “delighted at the turnout and enthusiasm from all stakeholders”.

The VINCI Facilities stand included a colouring station, giant connect 4 and a beat the buzzer game. Toys and sweets were given away as prizes and staff had the opportunity to meet with their new colleagues from partnering contractors Apollo Group and Wates Living Space, as well as the client team at Merton Priory Homes.

There was also a tiling and brick laying station - a bucking bronco, face painter, balloon artist, fire engine and refreshments throughout the day.

Garry McInerney, operations director of VINCI Facilities Building Solutions (South) said “Everyone worked extremely hard on the day - without doubt we had the most popular stand and achieved what we set out to!”

The first works are scheduled to start in October 2010 and the mobilisation is heavily underway in preparation for a smooth commencement.
