VINCI Facilities Secures TPAS Accreditation

After several months of rigorous audits and assessments, on the 23rd April 2010 both VINCI Facilities Building Solutions – Southern and Eastern Regions were notified of their success in being accredited with TPAS accreditation.

TPAS (Tenant Participation Advisory Services) is the dedicated support service for residents which offers advice and training for active and involved residents. Their standards have become a benchmark for best practice in resident engagement and their annual awards recognises excellence in service delivery and community cohesion for all stakeholders in the UK.

The assessment which included a first stage desk top audit, demonstrating our practices and achievements in the social housing sector, was followed by a second formal assessment which involved interviews with residents, clients and staff of all levels. The findings of Assessor Marilyn Thornley were presented to the TPAS scrutiny panel for their deliberations and in April 2010 we received confirmation of our award which was achieved after 6 months hard work by our teams across the business.

The scrutiny panel made several observations acknowledging best practice including “The “in-progress” satisfaction surveys which ensures tenants can flag up concerns throughout the improvement rather than just at the end of works are seen by the panel as good practice.” The panel also acknowledged the multiple regions that make up VINCI Facilities and their potential for benchmarking services across its many housing clients nationwide to constantly measure and improve.

In a celebration of their successes Danny Welling (Building Solutions – Eastern Region) and Josephine O’Connor (Building Solutions – Southern Region) were invited to receive their trophies and certificates of accreditation from Sir Bob Kerslake, Chief Executive of the Homes and Communities Agency and Peter Coleing Chairman of TPAS at the opening ceremony of this years’ legendary TPAS Conference and Awards held on the 23rd July 2010.

The addition of both the Southern and Eastern regions accreditation which complements the TPAS accreditation held by the VINCI Facilities Midlands & Northern region, adds national strength to our capabilities in the Social Housing Sector.
