VINCI Facilities, a leading provider of facilities management and maintenance services to the public and private sector, has been awarded the the contract by Meridian Hospital Company to provide fully outsourced hard FM services to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital PFI in Woolwich, London.
The £70M contract over 20 years will see VINCI Facilities TUPE across 30 full time staff and deliver a wide range of services to the PFI scheme including planned preventative and reactive maintenance, grounds maintenance, property management and capital works, life cycle replacement works, energy and waste management, medical gases and vacuum system and training services. In addition VINCI Facilities will manage the delivery of the £50M capital replacement works over this term.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital opened in 2001 to serve patients in the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley. It was one of the first wave of PFI Hospital build projects within the NHS and involved the transformation of the former military hospital at Woolwich into an acute general hospital for the NHS. The hospital provides 484 acute beds and 87 mental health beds.
