VINCI Facilities once again went further than their contractual obligations as part of the Sandwell Decent Homes Partnership by replacing the floor at the Wednesbury RFC and Youth Centre. The club lacks any funding for maintenance and improvements and the original floor was badly damaged through years of wear and tear and an unfortunate water leak. In addition, B&Q vouchers to the value of £250 were donated towards future maintenance projects.
Jim Avery, Wednesbury RFC Board Member, commented: “We are extremely delighted with the work that has been undertaken by the Partnership and want to thank them for all their co-operation and support”.
Tony Ford, Operations Director for VINCI Facilities, explained: “The Sandwell Decent Homes Partnership has been working on improving the local communities in Sandwell for over five years and we have seen just how important these social centres are for the local community, giving people of all ages a place to meet, relax and undertake hobbies and activities. In Wednesbury we have refurbished over 1800 homes alone, making a real difference to the area and so it is great for us to be making even more of a difference to the local community through this refurbishment.”
