VINCI Construction UK is one of the successful contractors to be named as part of a new healthcare construction framework. The other successful contractors are Interserve, Kier, Willmott Dixon and Speller Metcalfe.
The Private Investment Construction (PIC) Framework, sponsored by Yeovil District Hospital Foundation Trust, has been set up to deliver privately-funded projects for the NHS and private healthcare operators, split into two lots: Lot 1 will provide national coverage across England and Wales and is for projects generally in excess of £10 million, with Lot 2 set up for construction projects below this value and covering the South and Central regions.
VINCI Construction UK will work across Lots 1 and 2.
The four-year Framework will be managed by specialist healthcare company, Prime, and will be a key tool for the delivery of a range of new build and refurbishment projects across the acute, primary care, community care and elderly care sectors, from NHS to private facilities.
Leighton Chumbley, Chief Executive of Prime said: “This is a framework unlike any other in the sector and will bring vital sources of value for money private funding into the healthcare market. The calibre and experience of our contractor partners means we will be able to bring forward vital strategic projects for our NHS and private clients over the next four years.”
