Arts college to undergo multi million pound transformation

Arts college to undergo multi million pound transformation

Future students at John Bosco Arts College in Liverpool will conduct their studies on a new £18.2m school campus.

Neptune Projects Ltd has awarded VINCI Construction UK a two year contract to design and construct a three-storey girls’ arts college on the site of the existing school. The campus will include a 3G synthetic all weather sports pitch and a multi-use games area.

Maggie Farrar, Executive Director, National College, said: “Schools like St John Bosco Arts College need to be at the top of their game to take this role. The new building will be less rigid in design, allowing more flexibility in the way the school teaches lessons.”

Mark Thomas, Regional Director for VINCI Construction UK said: “The enthusiasm from both pupils and staff is unprecedented. This campus will shape learning well into the future and help strengthen Liverpool’s reputation as a world class cultural hub.”
