Six VINCI Construction UK projects won top accolades at this year’s Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards.
Gold awards were presented to project teams from the Kent Institute of Medicine and Surgery (KIMS), Victoria station, Tottenham Court Road station, Connaught Tunnel, the Nottingham tram extension (NET Phase 2), and Whitechapel station.
In addition, Whitechapel and Connaught Tunnel both won Most Considerate Site runner up prizes.
Health, Safety and Environment Director Andy Sneddon said: “Safety and the environment are key criteria in CCS audits, so I’m obviously delighted that the best practice displayed on these projects has been recognised at the highest level.”
“We should build upon this success by proactively addressing concerns and finding innovative new ways to set the standards for the rest of the industry.”
Also at the ceremony, projects including Stonehenge, Victoria Dock Portal, Bradfield School in Sheffield, Studentcastle and Gatwick Airport received silver awards.
Bronze accolades were presented to the Cast performance venue in Doncaster, Chesterfield Hospital, New Square West Bromwich, King’s Cross Central and Sandwell Home Phase 2.
