Taylor Woodrow was well represented at the 2015 Women In Construction Awards on 26th March with eight shortlisted finalists in four categories, more than any other organisation. Lauren Harries was our winner on the evening when she was the recipient of the Rising Star award.
Taylor Woodrow also sponsored the award for Tradeswoman of the Year, and Fred Garner had the pleasure of handing out the award to Angela Twigg and Sara Thomas who, after training as a carpenter and a plasterer, set up their own business in Birmingham called ‘Hammered and Plastered’.
Lauren’s award represents a second success for women in Taylor Woodrow this year following Pippa Higgins’ Women in Rail Award at the Rail Business Awards on 26th February, an event at which Taylor Woodrow was also shortlisted in four other categories:
• Corporate Social Responsibility for our SOMAD days initiative
• Training and Development for Empower
• Diversity and Inclusion for our successful approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
• Engineering Business Excellence for the delivery of Nottingham Station project
