VINCI Technology Centre has been appointed to assist with surveying the Redsand Towers.
These forts were built in Thames Estuary during World War II to defend against aerial and naval assaults.
Senior Engineer Michael Thorne visited the forts in November 2014 to help source information to produce a high-level concrete condition and general corrosion survey.
The VINCI Technology Centre’s involvement in the project stretched back over a decade.
Project Redsand was established in 2003, to secure the Redsand Towers, coded "Uncle 6" during WW2.
