Joint Venture wins supply chain award

Taylor Woodrow BAM Nuttall has won a supply chain award for work at London’s Tottenham Court Road and Victoria stations.

At the 50th anniversary Pride of Construction Awards, the joint venture team received the Outstanding Project Contribution to Supply Chain Engagement prize.

The award was presented by comedian Alexander Armstrong, on behalf of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), to Project Skills Co-ordinator Sam Bolton and Project Skills Manager John Deas.

Project Skills Manager John Deas said: “By engaging and developing our supply chain workforce it not only helps us to deliver our construction projects to a high standard but also helps to raise the standards in the industry.”

“We are very proud of the relationship with have with our supply chain and are delighted that the National Skills Academy for Construction and CITB have recognised us with this award.”

Speaking on behalf of the judging panel, Tony Ellender, Balfour Beatty’s talent manager said: “We were impressed by how the projects had moved both companies from acting in a joint venture to working in true partnership, with all the clear benefits of collaboration and sharing good practice that that entailed.”
