We are proud to announce that VINCI Construction UK has been awarded ISO 19650 Kitemark certification; which relates to the organisation and digitisation of information about buildings and civil engineering works.
ISO 19650 applies to the whole life cycle of a built asset.
It is an important certification for us as it further enhances our ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders involved in successful project delivery.
Millan Martin, VINCI Construction UK’s Engineering Director said: “The certification marks a major step in our digital transformation strategy. Currently only a few contractors hold the accreditation for both delivery and operational phases which is testament to VINCI Construction UK’s dedication to delivering excellence for our customers. We are committed to digital transformation and excited to realise the benefits of this certification as part of our journey.”
As part of the award, we have developed a new suite of processes and procedures housed on TWWW. The accreditation includes Information Management processes using Building Information Modelling (BIM) and replaces the superseded BS/PAS1192 series. Compliance with the new standard is mandatory for all UK Government construction projects.
VINCI Construction UK previously held BS/PAS1192 accreditation for delivery and operational phases in accordance with the British Standards. These have evolved over the years and in 2018 started to be superseded by international standards, including ISO 19650.
