Client: BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Development UK
Six Pancras Square is a multi-level 335,000ft2 office building with 10,000ft2 of retail space and is the client’s first major development in the UK.
It forms part of the 27 ha King’s Cross Central development which has completely transformed the area from an underused and largely derelict space into a thriving business and cultural community.
The structure’s facades have been created from more than 2,200 panels, each prefabricated off-site in Italy. This ensured a much quicker, higher quality installation compared to traditional methods owing to the controlled environment of the factory assembly.
Three key materials, namely coated glass, black anodized aluminium and terracotta were fitted in a variety of arrangements and seventeen different types of panelling help the building to carry a unique appearance.
